A Thanksgiving Reminder

Being that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I thought I’d write a reminder on the importance of being thankful. Although, we shouldn’t wait for a specific day of the year to give thanks for all that Yahweh has given us. We should live every day with an attitude of gratitude.

But it is good to take this time to look back over the past year and reflect on all the we’ve been through and survived. To look back at all that Yahweh has brought us through and all that He has done for us. On how much was accomplished this past year. Both in our own lives and in the lives of our family and friends.

But don’t just look back on the negative things like the things you didn’t accomplish this year so far or and set backs you may have had, i.e. health problems, etc. Though if done through a positive lens, will reveal to you Yahweh’s faithfulness, goodness and mercy in your life.

As it is written, in  2 Corinthians 12:9a (NLT), “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” Or as the NKV puts it My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

More importantly, look back on the good things that happened to you. Like a promotion you got, the new job you wanted, that new house you’ve been wanting or newer car you’ve been needing. Focusing on the good things that happened in our lives helps us remember that dispute the evil in the world, there is still good things happing in the world every day.

It s written may times and may ways throughout the Bible, “Give thanks to the LORD for He is good! And His mercy endures forever!”

So take this Thanksgiving to reflect on Yahweh’s grace toward you through Jesus Christ our Lord and all that He’s has done for you. And take the time to share it with those around you and listen to their praise report in kind.

I’d like to end by wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving! May Yahweh the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit continue to bless you and bring to mind all the wonderful things He’s done in your lives this past year.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
